Residential Space

A warm and inviting home environment is essential to enhancing an individual’s quality of life. Our homes are thoughtfully designed and furnished to feel like any private residence, allowing each person to personalize their bedroom according to their tastes and needs. These private bedrooms provide individuals with a space to call their own, offering comfort and privacy. From the outside, our homes blend seamlessly into the neighborhood, free of any markings or logos, ensuring they fit naturally into the community. Located in safe, high-quality neighborhoods, our homes provide easy access to local resources and amenities.

Respecting Individual Choices

We celebrate individuality by offering person centered care to our residents to access a wide range of recreational activities within their community and across Oregon, tailored to their interests. Transportation is readily available through company vehicles or public transit, ensuring that each person can explore and enjoy what their community has to offer.

Our residential program promotes independence by supporting individuals in making choices about their living arrangements, leisure activities, social connections, and ways to engage with the community. This self-directed approach is central to how we assist individuals in developing person-centered plans, empowering them to live fulfilling, meaningful lives.

Consultation

We provide tailored training to  group home providers and their staff in Washington , Clackamas  and Multnomah County to enhance overall well-being of the individuals  they support.

Our consultation provides continuous expert guidance for group home operators, caregivers, and residents. This service helps new/ existing Medicaid agencies by assisting them to understand some of the State regulatory requirements they are held to as an adult and children 24-hour residential Group Home provider.  We assist in quality assurance or QA meetings to review client care documents and documentation to prepare them for their 120 day licensing review or renewal. In addition, we help providers edit and write support documents such as protocols and safety plan, create financial plans, and train providers and their employees on client protocols and risks.

We have experience providing comprehensive training to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other providers on essential support documents, including safety plans, financial plans, person-centered protocols, FBA & PBSP, medication administration and proper documentation and how to document  Incident reports.

These training sessions are conducted both virtually, via Zoom, and in person at the agency’s site. We ensure the content is clear and accessible for all caregivers, providers, and support staff involved with the residents, promoting a collaborative learning environment to enhance their understanding and implementation of these protocols.

OREGON INTERVENTION SYSTEM

The Oregon Intervention System (OIS) is a person-centered, value-driven support framework designed for Designated Persons assisting adults and children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). The OIS curriculum integrates Positive Behavior Support (PBS) principles, trauma-informed care, and mental health considerations, all grounded in evidence-based practices. It provides practical strategies to prevent, de-escalate, and address behaviors that may compromise an individual’s quality of life or physical safety—particularly those that could lead to restrictive, aversive, or exclusionary interventions. The instructor received training from Alternative Services, Inc. in Tigard, OR, and utilizes their curriculum.
